The Word Jar Kit

Just like Teta’s jar in the book: one new Lebanese word every day. Print a fold-up paper jar and word cards, then add a word each night with a grown-up, in English and in Arabic.

  1. Print pages 2–4 on card stock at 100% (“actual size”), Letter or A4. Page 5, the card backs, is optional.
  2. Make the jar: cut it out, fold on the dashed line and glue the side tabs.
  3. Fill the cards: start with the words from your book.
  4. Every night: pick one card, say it out loud, then call Teta and use it!
